We became the stewards of this land in 2013. After 7 years of planning, getting all the necessary permits, and 2 years of construction, we finally opened Pasha in December 2021.

Pasha is the largest private beach home in the Santa Teresa region with over 1,500 m2 (15,000 sq.ft.) under roof, enjoying the privacy of 3.5+ hectares (9+ acres) of land with almost 200 m (700 ft) of beachfront. The property has an 80,000 liter (21,000 gallons) water tank, 3 back-up generators, 2 water treatment plants, 4 pools, 6 kitchens, and 12 bathrooms.

Creating a property like Pasha in a remote location where the jungle meets the ocean took an international effort incorporating many different talents for architecture, engineering, landscaping, and design.

We tried to minimize the impact on the land while creating an immersive experience with animals, plants, fruit trees, flowers —even trying to capture the aromas that flow through the property with the evening ocean breeze. We tried to use all-natural materials, minimizing the use of plastics, chemicals, and pesticides.

Although we made an effort to use local labor and materials, building at Pasha’s scale required us to source some materials from around the world, such as linens from Turkey, tile and furniture from Bali, sinks from Italy, and many conveniences from the USA.

Our goal is to positively impact our community, our employees, and their families’ lives and provide our guests a glimpse of the Pura Vida life. We decided to invest in this country because we fell in love with the land, the people and its culture. The proceeds from Pasha go to a fund that will sponsor a hospitality management school.
